One of our volunteers will visit your home and review the appointments and education you've had. After you've visited with your chosen bird multiple times, we'll schedule a home visit. We want everyone to leave with the same knowledge, regardless of experience.

The education process covers the same materials, whether you're new to companion parrots, or whether you've lived with birds for decades. Education occurs throughout the adoption process, over the course of multiple visits. You'll receive a tour of our facility and meet some birds! Education is crucial to our adoption process and to our mission. Under no circumstances will you be able to leave with a bird on your first or second visit.Īt your first appointment, you'll talk with one of our experienced volunteers about what you're looking for in a companion parrot. All the birds in our flock have a home at the sanctuary until we find the right new home for them. You never know who you may end up falling in love with, or who may end up falling in love with you! When visiting, please keep in mind that our facility is a parrot rescue and sanctuary, not a pet store. If you're interested in adopting, the first step is to complete an Adoption Questionnaire.
